Context
The family's house in the north of Luxembourg was to be extended with an annex. BELVEDERE Architecture was asked to plan the project.
The extension was to be available to one of the adult children as an independent living space and yet form a unit with the existing building via a common entrance area and various connecting doors.
The annex nestles harmoniously into the hillside and is stilted. This creates space for a generous carport below the new living area. A wide staircase, which leads to a terrace at the level of the living area, forms the lateral finish of the extension.
